CHUM Staple Congregation
Each year, the Chum Food Shelf serves thousands of individuals. This work could not happen without our remarkable community of Chum supporters. We are so grateful for all those who aid the Food Shelf and participate in this mission of creating a more compassionate Duluth.
One of the invaluable ways that many Chum member congregations support our Food Shelf is by becoming a "Staple Congregation." These congregations pool their resources towards providing one specific "staple" item each year (these are food items that the Chum Food Shelf has found to be consistently needed). Often, these are pantry "essentials" that many of us may take for granted: canned tomatoes, peanut butter, or mac and cheese.
Grace Lutheran is the Chum Peanut Butter Staple Congregation and provides the food shelf with peanut butter throughout the year. Thank you for your continuing support, and please know that your contributions are utterly crucial in achieving Chum's mission: "People of faith providing basic necessities, fostering stable lives, and organizing for a just and compassionate community."
